Department of Oriental is one of the oldest departments of Philosophy and Philology Faculty in Belgrade. The lecture began with the history of Persian literature at the Department of World Literature. The concept of teaching has been adapted to the historical and cultural tradition, marked with long-oriental-Islamic influence. Have studied the Oriental languages and literatures of the Turks, Arabs and Persians, with the primary aim of understanding the oriental cultural heritage of the Yugoslav peoples.
