University of Tuzla or Univerzitet u Tuzli is a public university located in the city of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The university was founded in 1958 it became a proper university in 1976, and today is one of the major institutions of higher learning in the Balkans.

The Faculty of Philosophy was established 1993 on the already existing Pedagogic Academy. The University of Tuzla established new departments like English Language and Literature and German Language and Literature in 1999. They formed three new department like Pedagogy-psychology in 2000, Turkish Language and Literature in 2003 and Social Work in 2004.
Four years study departments: bosnian language and literature, history, pedagogy- psihology,journalism, social work and combination with foreign languages of english language and literature, german language and literature, turkish language and literature/

The Turkish Language and Literature is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind ofTurkish language, Ottoman History, Modern Turkish Literature.
